'Suvarnaprashan' is one of of 16 essential sanskaras ( rituals) described in ayurveda. Basic sutras of ayurveda are 1. preventive measures and 2. curative measures. Suvarna prashan is designed on the first principle of preventive measures.

A. What is suvarnaprashan?

Unique method of immunization in which, scientifically prepared authentic medication containing potent ayurvedic medhya herbs, suvarna bhasma, cow's ghee with madhu is given to infants.

B. To whom administer?

It should be given to children from 1 st day of birth till age of 16 yrs.

C. Time of administration :

every pushyanakshatra.

D. For what period it should be done?

It should be done for minimum 1 year to get better effects.

E. Benefits of Suvarnaprashan :

One of the ancient Indian paediatrician Maharshi Kashyap has described so many benefits of Suvarnaprashan in his sanhita as follows..
